The NFL handed out individual awards following Week 4 of the regular season.
Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henrie was the best offensive player in the American Conference. In a 35-10 game against the Buffalo Bills, he gained 199 yards on carries in 24 attempts and 10 yards on receptions for three touchdown passes. Henrie accounted for two touchdowns.
Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff was honored in the National Conference. In a 42-29 game against the Seattle Seahawks, Goff threw 18 accurate passes in 18 attempts and gained 292 yards with two passing touchdowns. The quarterback also scored one touchdown on a reception.
The top defenses were Kansas City Chiefs' D-Tackle Chris Jones and Atlanta Falcons linebacker Troy Andersen. Jones made 2 sacks and 4 tackles in the game against the Los Angeles Chargers (17:10). Andersen returned a fumble after an interception into the end zone and made 16 tackles in a game against the New Orleans Saints (26:24).
Tennessee Titans kicker Nick Folk was recognized as the best special teams player in the AFC after making all 5 field goals against the Miami Dolphins (31:12), including 3 from 50+ yards out. Kicker scored a couple more extra-points and contributed 17 points for his team.
Chicago Bears punter Tory Taylor was named the best special teams player in the NFC. Of their 5 punt returns during their 24-18 game against the Los Angeles Rams, 3 of them landed within the 10-yard line of the opponent's scoring zone. Fox averaged 55.4 yards per punt.
