The 29-year-old Seattle Seahawks centre Connor Williams has ended his professional career "due to personal circumstances". This was announced by the head coach of the team Mike McDonald.
Williams was selected by the "Dallas Cowboys" in the second round of the 2018 draft. After his rookie contract expired, the player moved to the "Miami Dolphins", where he spent two seasons.
In August, Williams agreed to a one-year contract with the "Seahawks". He played all 9 games in the team's starting lineup and played all snaps at his position.
In the last two games, the centre has had trouble putting the ball in play from the shotgun formation.
Williams will be replaced in "Seattle's" starting lineup by second-year player Olu Oluwatimi.
