NFL Hall of Fame member Randy Moss has stopped serving as host on ESPN's “Sunday NFL Countdown” show due to health issues.

On Sunday, the 47-year-old former receiver announced on social media and on-air that he has a serious illness. Moss also urged middle-aged men to check in with their doctors and get tested more often.

Moss did not specify what disease he was talking about, but social media users speculated that it was cirrhosis or liver cancer - the ex-football player's eyes have a yellowish tint to them, and he said he would hide them behind dark glasses not out of disrespect for fans, but for medical reasons.

During his 14-year NFL career, Moss played for" Minnesota", "Oakland", "New England", "Tennessee" and "San Francisco". He is second only to Jerry Rice in receiving touchdowns (156).
