The NFL club "New Orleans Saints" have sent head coach Dennis Allen to resign after their 7th straight loss in the current regular season.

The day before, the "Saints" were defeated by the last-place "Carolina Panthers" (22-23) in the NFC South.
"New Orleans" acting head coach will be special teams coordinator Darren Rizzi.
Allen took over the team after Sean Payton left in 2022. Prior to that, he spent seven years as the "Saints" defensive coordinator.
In 43 games as head coach, Allen achieved an 18-25 record.
