Matt Iberflus has resigned as head coach of the "Chicago Cubs"

The "Chicago Bears" fired head coach Matt Iberflus after a 20-23 loss to the "Detroit Lions" in a Thanksgiving Day game.

Thomas Brown, who replaced Shane Waldron as offensive coordinator two weeks ago, will be the acting head coach.

After the loss, Iberflus was criticized for time management at the end of the game.

With 36 seconds left in the game, the "Bears" had to play a 3-and-26 situation at the opponent's 41-yard line with one timeout remaining. In the end, "Chicago" players only had time for one play, which ended with an inaccurate pass from Kaleb Williams to Roam Odunzeye.

After the game, Williams stated that he changed the play at the line of scrimmage with 13 seconds left in the game after seeing "Detroit's" formation on defense.

The "Bears" record after the loss to "Detroit" is 4-8. The team is in last place in the NFC North division.
