‘I like his confidence. It's not easy to get to the NBA, but it's not easy to get on the football field. What happens when you really get hit hard? Will you rise to the next draw? Or will you think you've had enough? Guys in the NBA nowadays sometimes get it and can't continue playing. There's no such opportunity in the NFL.

Edwards is one of those athletes like LeBron James, T-Mac and Michael Jordan who are capable of playing another sport professionally. There are guys in the NBA who could probably move on to the NFL. But there are also people who can play in the NBA,’ Vince Carter reasoned.
