"Detroit Lions" general manager Brad Holmes was checking with New York "Jets" officials on Tuesday about the possibility of trading defensive lineman Haason Reddick.

The "Jets" earlier allowed Reddick, unhappy with the lack of a long-term contract, to seek trade options.
"Detroit" is looking for options to replace the injured Aiden Hutchinson, the season leader in sacks (7.5).
According to insider Josina Anderson, Reddick's trade to "Detroit" is unlikely. Under the terms of the "Jets" spring player swap from the "Philadelphia Eagles", if the New York club wanted to send Reddick to a team from the National Conference, they would have to give the "Eagles" a 2nd round pick in the 2026 draft.
