"Detroit Lions" safety Brian Branch apologised for his behaviour in Week 9 of the NFL regular season against the "Green Bay Packers".

In the second quarter of the game, Branch was removed from the field for an illegal hit on "Packers" receiver Bo Melton. As he left for the underneath stands, the "Lions" quarterback showed the middle finger to the stands.
"I wouldn't want people to associate me with an act like that. It was emotion and I apologise to everyone who witnessed it. It won't happen again," Branch said.
Branch also agreed with the officiating crew's decision to remove him, although he noted he didn't mean to hit Melton's helmet.
The "Lyons" won the game by a score of 24-14.
Branch has thrown 4 interceptions, knocked down 11 passes and induced a fumble this season.
