"Dallas Cowboys" quarterback Dak Prescott will be placed on injured reserve. The announcement was made by Stephen Jones, the club's executive vice president.

Prescott's hamstring tendon partially severed from the bone. The recovery time for such an injury is 6 to 8 weeks.
If the "Cowboys" are officially out of the playoff race by the time Prescott recovers, the quarterback may not return to the field until after the season.
The "Dallas" quarterback corps also includes Cooper Rush and Trey Lance.
"Dallas" will play the division rival "Philadelphia Eagles" in the next round.
